New York Football Giants

So Many Qualifiers

It isn't often that in order to support a team, you have to make sure everyone knows where the team is from and what sport they play. Such is the life of a Giants fan. "You mean the baseball team from San Francisco?" No, dummy, of course I don't. I'm from New York, we're in New York, and I said the word "Giants" so why would you think I meant the baseball team from across the country? And why do you automatically think baseball? As if there is no sport played all the months baseball is not being played. And yes, the stadium is in New Jersey, I get it, it's a great joke. It mostly saddens me because of how long it takes to get to a game. Of course, with ticket prices where they are, I don't know if I'm going to a game before I win the lottery unless we're going to be happy in the 400s in the end zone.

Anyway

I have been a Giants fan since 2006. Saw them play the Eagles with my dad that year at home. Great day, loved them ever since. Watched the entire Eli Manning era. Shockey, Tyree, Buress, Coughlin, BOTH Superbowl wins, both against the Patriots. And while they haven't been very good in the last 5 or 6 years, I'm still happy to wear my gear and support them. You would think I'd be more Jets since I went to Hofstra and watched a practice or two, and went to Chrebet's at least once, and met Chad Pennington while I was at school (he wasn't all that much taller or fit than I at the time, I was a little disappointed). So here's hoping that this weekend, wild card weekend, of 2022, they beat the Vikings (who, I admit, are looking very good, and probably won't lose, but you never know). Dan Jones has a little Eli spark in him, magic can happen. Having Barkley as your running back can't hurt, either.

Nope

Shocker, they didn't win.
